Dean is a qualified Arbitrator, Barrister and Solicitor-Advocate and has been qualified for more than 22 years. He has held the role of Chief Ombudsman and Chief Arbitrator with an aviation and retail ADR scheme and has written more than 100 arbitration awards for ABTA, and in excess of 1000 adjudication decisions in the aviation and retail sectors.
Dean is considered to be one of the leading authorities on consumer law and has been named Consumer Lawyer of the Year 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. In this respect his unrivalled experience of acting as arbitrator on consumer law matters, advising consumers, advising many of the leading airlines and retailers, engagement with regulators and writing extensively in the media on consumer law matters makes him the ‘go to lawyer’ on consumer law matters.
Dean is also one of the leading commentators on consumer law matters in the media, writing weekly columns for the Express and Sunday People, regularly appearing on the news and presenting the LBC Radio Consumer Hour every week.
